I'm steadily working on my first project from this book - Tomato - in Cotton Ease. Pictures to come soon. It's nearing completion and I'm thinking about what I want to do next. I found some interesting new yarn at Elann that I think might work for Cables and O's...it's called Calista and it's a rayon/cotton/linen blend. So I ordered a ball for a geeky thing and I'll let you know how it works out
I'm also coveting the new Handmaiden Flaxen (silk/linen) and the Handmaiden Tussah Silk. I think that the Flaxen would make an interesting River Rock scarf and the Tussah Silk would make a gorgeous Tuscany.

Have not seen the Flaxen, but I agree that the Tussah would make an excellent Tuscany shelf. So many yarns, so little time.
Good luck on your Tomato. I'll be starting one this weekend using Mission Falls 1824 Cotton.
I am also knitting my Tomato in CottonEase (violet). Just one sleeve left, agh!
Good luck on your Tomato! :) I am very excited about having a knitted item that I will want to wear and can just pop in the washing machine. Yay CottonEase.
Ooh, cotton ease! I have a redonkulous quantity at home, it's begging to be a Tomato!
Tonight's new project: figure out the gauge for that!
Speaking of subs for the Cables and Os-- have you seen that Knit Picks will have a new yarn called "CotLin" starting mid-June? I believe it is the same composition and weight as the Cotolino, but I'm not totally sure-- I took a look but didn't like the colors. Anyway, just FYI if the geeky thing doesn't quite work out.
yeah, I saw the Cotlin....it looks great, but the colors aren't really my thing. Plus it wasn't available until 6/15, and I'm impatient!! :) I got the Calista in the mail today, and it's gorgeous! I can't wait to start swatching to see what it will look like.
