A Striped Tomato

Well, I tried to resist. Really I did. I told myself I could NOT buy yarn for a Tomato. And since I didn't have enough to make one I thought I was safe. But then I realized I could make STRIPES! I used TLC Cotton Plus in the mint green, cream, and pink. Less than 1 skein of each. I made the 31.5 inch size which fit me (35") perfect. Excuse the slightly wonky photo, taken by my 6 year old which is why I look like a giant!! When can I make another?!

It's beautiful! I love the stripes. I'm about to cast on for my blue tomato, but if it turns out well, I may have to make a second one with stripes.

Your 6 year old has a budding talent for photography, I think. This picture looks better than DH did for me.

Great striped Tomato! I haven't seen one that has turned out badly yet. Will definetely be making a second one eventually...

I think the stripes makes it an heirloom tomato!

That is so cute! That's a really nice variation-- making it with stripes. Did you also do the neckline a little differently? Whatever you did, I really like it.
I have been trying to resist making this, because I haven't been convinced it would look good on me, but everyone is making it work so well for them...and I'd get to buy some Blue Sky cotton...
